A Night Less Ordinary is an Arts Council England scheme, supported by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and in association with Metro, to get more young people into theatres across the country. The £2.5 million scheme will provide 618,000 free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 in more than 200 venues across England, between February 2009 and March 2011.
Highlights is aiming to give away more than 750 tickets over the two years. Performances and productions that qualify for these free tickets are clearly marked on our Listings page – just contact the local promoter for the specific venue and let them know that you are under 26 and want to take advantage of the offer. It doesn’t cover organised groups or trips from schools – this is all about you taking the initiative for yourself and doing something Less Ordinary.
But the free tickets are the tip of the iceberg
