Wild Tales Workshop

Talesongs

Gone Cuckoo - Wild Tales family storytelling workshop

It’s shortly after dawn at RAF Fylingdales and a cuckoo is having a transmitter strapped to his back. A few weeks later he will have flown thousands of miles across Europe and over the Sahara Desert to equatorial Africa. For millennia, the cuckoo’s call has inspired songs, stories and poems. Does the cuckoo bring the spring? Tell our fortunes? Was he the shapeshifter that became a hawk?

We are delighted to host this family storytelling workshop by acclaimed storyteller Malcolm Green, as a pre-curser to his performance at Orton Market Hall on the same evening, as part of Highlights Rural Touring.

Join us and create and tell your own stories of the wild within the grounds of Morland House. Build mini dens for the ‘fairy folk’ and draw story pictures from materials found. Discover what tales this place has to tell and there may be some enchanting music too!

£8.50 per person

Minimum age 6, children must be accompanied by an adult
